Smallmouth Bass Streams Fly Fishing Report - November 30, 2023
Share
These cool nights have slowed the smallmouth bass fishing. In order to even tempt the smallmouth you will need to get your fly as deeply as you can and swim it right in front of their nose. By using a sink tip line with a sinking leader 6ft 2X leader you can increase your odds. The Murray's Tungsten Cone Head Marauders size 4 work well in these conditions. The Shenandoah River (both North & South Fork) are in great shape as far as volume and clarity.
Since the smallmouth streams are getting cooler and the fishing has slowed down for winter, I will not be posting updates until next Spring once the action starts picking up.
