Stocked Trout Streams Fly Fishing Report - February 24, 2022

All of the local stocked trout streams are clear and fishable.  The melting snow and rain showers have provided perfect water levels.  We are receiving some rain/sleet today but that shouldn't cause any problems on the stream levels.  You will do better with nymphs such as the Casual Dress Nymph size 10 & 12, Murray's Dark Stonefly Nymph size 14, Mr. Rapidan Soft Hackle (Brown) size 14, and the Cress Bug size 14.

Wade carefully and be willing to walk to areas of the streams that are not heavily fished. For the latest stocking schedule, see the DWR website.
