Stocked Trout Streams Fly Fishing Report - November 18, 2021

The trout streams are getting cold and the trout often feed best if we show them a large mouthful to eat. The Murray's Skunk Roadkill Nymph size 6, Mr. Rapidan Soft Hackle Nymph, Brown size 8, and Casual Dress Nymph size 6 seldom let me down. Fish these in the deep pockets right below the riffles.  The recent rains have helped the stream levels.  All of our local stocked trout streams are clear and fishable.  Mill Creek in Mount Jackson was just recently stocked.  To see the complete list of stockings see the Virginia DWR website.
