Used for hopper wings and nymph wing pads. Few natural materials do the outstanding job in tying as many flies as these wing quills. I use them for hopper wings on many style grasshoppers, nymph wing pads on many different nymphs and Muddler Minnow wings. In order to make these quills more durable on the fly you can coat them with a very thin layer of Murray's Head Cement.
